You may be wondering: What happened
to the M?
CSM has installed energy-efficient LED
bulbs.
Fast facts provided by the School:
The cost to replace the bulbs came in at about $15,500, nearly half what students estimated. Mines’ chapter of Blue Key International Honor Society purchased 800 white, 700 blue/red, 600 green and 200 amber bulbs from Voss Lighting.
The 0.8 watt bulbs—each comprised of 12 LED's—will use about 5.5 kilowatts per night in place of the 11 kilowatt incandescent bulbs currently in place. Students estimate the annual cost for lighting the M at around $175 per year, down from the current cost of around $2,100.

- Spend a Day or
Evening in Downtown
Golden:
See the play at Miners

one of the three coffee
houses, a glass of wine
at Vintner's
Cellar, or have some
ice cream at Golden
Sweets. The bookstore
is open till nine on
Friday and eight on
Saturday, and that's
always a low-key place
to hang out.
